About us:
Taikura Trust is the regions single facilitator of needs assessment and service coordination for support services for people under 65 years who have a physical, intellectual, sensory impairment, or autism. Above all, Taikura Trust is about bringing certainty to lives of the people we support and walking the journey with children and families to live the lives they choose.
About the role:
You will be responsible for conducting support needs assessments in a collaborative and strength based approach. Exploring all options for supporting the needs of disabled children or adults and their families, coordinating access to support services both funded and unfunded and reviewing their care plans in place to ensure it is meeting their changing needs as they grow. The outcome of these care plans should provide a support plan that enables choice, flex and control and meets the person's individual needs.

You will need:
- A specialized area of interest in working with children or adults and their families that have a person with a disability
- Good organisational and time management skills; an ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet varied and conflicting priorities.
- Demonstration of proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage working with different IT platforms
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience working with disabled individuals

You must be allowed to legally work in New Zealand.
You must hold a valid, full NZ Driver Licence.
